Best Photo Delivery Apps for Photographers (2026): 7 Compared
GalleryLink, Pixieset, Pic-Time, ShootProof, CloudSpot, SmugMug and PhotoDeck compared: who each suits, print sales, storage, and what clients see on a phone.
Short answer
The right photo delivery app depends on whether you sell prints. Pixieset, Pic-Time and ShootProof bundle a print store and suit photographers whose income includes physical products, while GalleryLink is built for delivery alone, keeps photos in your Drive or its own storage, and costs less because it is not funding a commerce layer.
The best photo delivery app is the one that fits how you already work: where your photos live, whether you sell prints, and how your clients open the link (usually on a phone). There's no single winner, but there is a clear best fit for most photographers.
Quick picks:
- Your photos already live in Google Drive, or you want the lowest cost: GalleryLink. It turns the Drive folder into a branded gallery with nothing to re-upload, from $5 a month.
- Selling prints and products is a big part of your income: Pic-Time or Pixieset, both built around a gallery store.
- You want a website, store and galleries in one place: Pixieset.
- You want contracts and invoices next to your galleries: ShootProof.
- You want unlimited storage for your whole archive: SmugMug.
Below, each app is compared on what matters at delivery: what the client sees, downloads, favorites, storage and cost.

1. GalleryLink
GalleryLink is the most workflow-friendly choice for photographers who already organize files in Google Drive and don't want to re-upload originals into a second system. It turns a Drive folder into a polished, client-facing gallery, while the originals stay in your own storage and GalleryLink stores only metadata. That matters because Drive is already the dominant cloud file service in many creative workflows, and Google reports more than 2 billion monthly active users across Google Workspace and consumer products, which makes this approach practical for teams that already rely on Drive every day (Drive workflow context).
Why it stands out for real delivery work
The biggest advantage is live sync. If you add, remove, or rearrange files in Drive, the gallery reflects those changes almost immediately, so you don't keep exporting new versions or resending links. That's a direct fix for the re-upload-and-replace loop that slows down wedding, event, and portrait delivery.
GalleryLink also keeps the client experience simple. Clients open a shareable link, browse a full-screen gallery, and don't need an account or app. The gallery supports mixed photo and video, optional password protection, inline playback, lazy-loaded previews, and balanced masonry layouts, so it feels polished without forcing you into a heavier studio platform.
Practical rule: If your current delivery process starts with “download from Lightroom, upload again, then wait,” GalleryLink removes two of those steps immediately.
Best fit and limitations
The free plan is generous enough to start with one gallery, and Pro is priced at $5/month or $50/year, with unlimited galleries, branding removal, gallery statistics, a studio website, and the Event Suite. That Event Suite is where GalleryLink gets especially interesting for weddings and live events, because it adds guest uploads, a fullscreen live slideshow for venue screens, multi-day scene navigation, and print-ready QR cards.
The tradeoff is that the service depends on Drive organization and sharing permissions. If your folders are messy, the gallery will reflect that. Guest uploads on Pro are stored by GalleryLink, separate from your Drive originals, so teams that need very strict media boundaries should review that workflow first.
GalleryLink is also the one platform here that directly leans into the topic's hidden gap, not just polished galleries, but fit with existing cloud storage. If you want to compare its approach with a traditional proofing platform, the company's own guide on how to deliver photos to clients is worth a look.
Pros
- Live sync with Google Drive keeps galleries current without re-uploads.
- Originals stay in Drive, so you avoid duplicate hosting.
- Event Suite tools support guest uploads, live slideshows, and QR access.
- Transparent pricing makes it easy to start small.
- Client-friendly access avoids logins and app installs.
Cons
- Depends on Drive, so folder hygiene and permissions matter.
- Advanced features require Pro, including branding removal, analytics, and event tools.
New in 2026: on the Studio plan, GalleryLink can also deliver by itself: every new customer folder in Drive becomes a gallery with your look and is sent to the client, and clients can save a whole gallery to their own Google Drive in one tap.
2. Pixieset
Pixieset is a strong pick if you want a polished client gallery first and a broader studio ecosystem second. It's the kind of platform many photographers grow into because it covers galleries, websites, studio management, and mobile viewing in one place. If you want a familiar, clean delivery flow with room to expand later, Pixieset is easy to understand and easy to hand to clients through a branded experience. You can see the platform here at Pixieset, and GalleryLink's side-by-side comparison is available at GalleryLink vs Pixieset.
Delivery plus sales in one place
Pixieset's appeal is the way it connects client galleries to an integrated store. That means photographers can deliver images, offer downloads, and sell prints without stitching together separate tools. The platform also supports custom branding, password protection, full-resolution downloads, and a mobile gallery app for clients who prefer viewing on phones.
Its broader ecosystem matters if you want your delivery platform to double as business infrastructure. Website tools, studio management, and editing features make Pixieset feel less like a single-purpose gallery and more like a place to run a photography business. For many studios, that consolidation is the whole point.
Where it makes sense
Pixieset is a good fit for photographers who want a proven client-facing system and don't mind paying more as storage or feature needs grow. The integrated store is helpful if you regularly sell prints or products, and the client experience is clean enough that users can find downloads, favorites, or purchases without guidance.
The downside is that simplicity can become cost pressure. The free tier takes a commission on store sales, and storage-based pricing can become less comfortable for teams handling lots of high-res files or video-heavy galleries. That makes Pixieset better for photographers who want a polished ecosystem and are comfortable trading flexibility for convenience.
3. Pic-Time
Pic-Time is a strong choice when presentation and sales automation matter more than a plain file handoff. It is built for photographers who want galleries that look polished, support print sales, and handle more of the follow-up work in the background. The built-in print store and lab integrations make it especially useful for studios that sell tangible products as part of the client experience. Visit the platform at Pic-Time, and for a direct comparison see GalleryLink vs Pic-Time.
Where automation becomes the value
Pic-Time's main strength is that it does not stop at delivery. It supports client and art galleries, marketing automations, slideshows, blogs, and album builder tools, so the gallery can become part of the sales process instead of just a file handoff. That helps studios guide clients toward print orders without having to chase every follow-up manually.
The built-in store and lab integrations also simplify fulfillment. When clients buy products, the platform keeps that process inside the same system, which reduces the back-and-forth that comes with managing orders across separate tools. For high-touch studios, that structure often matters more than a basic download link.
Best for teams that sell beyond digital files
Pic-Time fits photographers who sell albums, wall art, and prints and want the platform to support that revenue path. The advanced plans also include AI-assisted tools, including watermark protection and photo search, plus unlimited storage on the Advanced plan. That makes it especially appealing for larger archives or photographers who need a more expansive catalog over time.
The tradeoff is that some of the more useful marketing tools sit on higher tiers, and commission-free sales depend on the right store setup. If you mainly want a simple delivery handoff, Pic-Time may feel more elaborate than you need. If you want delivery and sales to work as one system, it remains a serious contender.
Good delivery platforms do not just show images, they reduce the number of steps between a finished edit and a paid order.
4. ShootProof
ShootProof makes sense for photographers who want delivery, proofing, contracts, invoices, and optional booking in one business-focused system. It's less about visual flair and more about putting the administrative pieces around a gallery into a single workflow. That matters for photographers who want clients to move from viewing to paying without juggling multiple tools. You can explore it at ShootProof, and the matching delivery guide is here: GalleryLink's photo delivery article.
Built for running the job, not just showing the images
ShootProof's design is straightforward. Unlimited client galleries and lab integrations support the delivery side, while contracts and invoicing support the business side. That combination is useful when a photographer wants a practical operating hub instead of a separate gallery platform plus accounting or scheduling tools.
The white-label option on paid plans also matters. For studios that want the client to see a consistent brand, custom subdomains and branded galleries make the handoff feel more professional. It's not the flashiest system in the list, but it's easy to understand and focused on photography workflows.
Where it can start to feel tight
ShootProof is a strong fit for photographers who want structure. If you're sending proofs, collecting signatures, and invoicing from the same place, the platform keeps things organized. It also avoids platform commission on sales, which is appealing for studios that watch margins closely.
The drawback is capacity planning. Storage is tied to photo counts, so very active photographers can outgrow smaller tiers quickly. That makes it a better fit for photographers with predictable workflows than for those who upload large, video-heavy, or constantly changing libraries. If your delivery process is simple but your business admin is not, ShootProof stays relevant.
5. CloudSpot
CloudSpot is a good middle ground for photographers who want simple delivery now and the option to grow into a fuller studio suite later. It feels approachable, especially for users who care about a clean mobile experience and want clients to be able to purchase, download, favorite, and share from their phones. The platform itself is available at CloudSpot.
Easy on-ramp, clear upgrade path
The gallery-first experience is the headline here. CloudSpot gives photographers a straightforward way to deliver galleries with download controls, favorites, and integrated sales, while the mobile apps mirror key gallery functions. That means a client can browse, save favorites, and act on the gallery without being pushed into a separate workflow.
The upgrade path is the advantage. If you need more than delivery later, CloudSpot can expand into invoices, contracts, scheduling, questionnaires, and mini-session management. That makes it appealing for photographers who want to start with one job and avoid switching platforms when the business grows.
Where the tiers matter
CloudSpot's lower tiers are best for clean, simple gallery delivery. The higher tiers provide the broader studio tools, and the product limits can matter if you work with file types beyond standard JPEG delivery. For a photographer who mainly needs an easy place to send finished galleries, that may never be a problem.
CloudSpot is strongest when the goal is “simple now, broader later.” It's not the best fit if you know you need a full business suite immediately, but it's a sensible option if you want a low-friction start with room to expand. For many solo photographers, that's the safest kind of platform choice.
6. SmugMug
SmugMug is one of the most established names in this space, and its biggest advantage is capacity planning. It offers unlimited JPEG storage on all plans, with optional RAW storage add-ons, which makes it very appealing for photographers who hate thinking about storage ceilings. The platform is available at SmugMug.
Why long-term users stick with it
The storage model is the reason many photographers stay with SmugMug. Unlimited JPEG storage means you can keep delivering without constantly checking whether a gallery will push you toward a new tier. That's especially useful for photographers with large catalogs, years of archives, or regular client re-delivery needs.
SmugMug also has a mature ecosystem, with Lightroom and mobile app integrations, client galleries, lab fulfillment, custom pricelists, coupons, and package selling on higher tiers. That gives it a dependable, known structure for photographers who want a platform with depth and longevity.
Best for photographers who value stability
SmugMug works well when the priority is broad compatibility and less storage anxiety. It's a trusted platform with enough flexibility for delivery, review, and sales, especially if you want your library to keep growing without constant cleanup.
The tradeoff is that some advanced sales tools are locked to the Pro plan, and RAW storage costs extra as an add-on. So while the platform is comfortable and stable, the full value depends on how much of its ecosystem you use. For photographers who want a long-lived platform and unlimited JPEG breathing room, it's still a strong choice.
7. PhotoDeck
PhotoDeck is the best fit for photographers who want fine-grained proofing control and a more customizable gallery experience. It's also notable for a zero-commission e-commerce engine, which makes it attractive to photographers who sell prints or downloads and want to keep more of each sale. The platform is available at PhotoDeck.
Proofing first, sales second
PhotoDeck gives you private and proofing galleries with ratings, comments, lightboxes, and access controls, so the review process stays organized. That's useful when clients need to narrow a selection set rather than download a finished package. The platform feels more suited to photographers who care about controlled review than to those who want a flashy public-facing showroom.
Its e-commerce engine is another major draw. Zero commission means your pricing structure doesn't get clipped by platform fees, which is valuable for studios that sell prints or digital downloads directly. PhotoDeck also supports extensive pricing profiles, multilingual sites, and optional AI tools for captioning, keywording, and face recognition.
Where it fits best
PhotoDeck is strongest when your delivery workflow includes actual proofing decisions. If you're collecting ratings, comments, or approvals, it gives you more control than a simple gallery download page. The customization options also make it a better match for photographers who want a polished branded site without giving up practical control.
The tradeoff is storage. There's no unlimited tier, so very large archives may need add-on storage. That makes PhotoDeck a sharper tool for photographers who want precision and transparency than for those who want the easiest possible capacity story. For review-heavy jobs, it's a serious contender.

Final Thoughts
The best photo delivery app depends on the handoff you need. If you want a polished gallery ecosystem with built-in sales, Pixieset, Pic-Time, ShootProof, CloudSpot, SmugMug, and PhotoDeck all have legitimate strengths. If your real pain is duplicated storage, re-uploads, and link churn, GalleryLink solves a different problem, because it works on top of the storage system many photographers already use instead of asking you to rebuild your workflow.
That difference matters more than feature lists. A studio that sends occasional portrait galleries may care most about branding and simple downloads. A wedding or event photographer may care more about guest access, live slideshows, or quick media updates. A volume-heavy team may care most about avoiding duplicate storage and keeping delivery tied to the files they already manage in Drive.
Gallery delivery is no longer just a prettier download page. It's part of how you protect time, reduce manual work, and keep clients moving without friction. The right app should fit the way you already shoot, store, and send files, not force you into a second system that creates more steps than it removes.
If you're comparing platforms right now, start with the one that matches your current file workflow, not the one that asks you to reorganize everything later. That's the fastest way to choose a tool you'll keep using.
GalleryLink turns your existing Google Drive folders into polished, client-facing galleries, so you can deliver photos without re-uploading originals or duplicating storage. If you want a simple, low-cost way to keep galleries current and give clients a clean link-based experience, visit GalleryLink and see how it fits your delivery workflow.
